what's the deal?
"What's the deal?" One ponders about life.
"What's the deal?" Some might think, annoyed, as the summer sweats off its last few days of freedom.
"What's the deal?" 41 of you may ask; huddled over your keyboard hour after hour, patiently waiting for the arrival of my long over-due blog post (not really).
"What's the deal?" A nation wonders re: Miley Cyrus' recent performance at the VMA's.
"What's the deal?" I say out loud without realizing it and then it's kind of awkward.
This a very good question, what IS the deal? In my opinion, summer ended far too fast, but fall couldn't come any sooner, and thus is the reason for this random blog post. Recently, I got this warm, familiar, tingly sensation. At first I was scared it was some sort of infection or something, but then I realized it was just my self's way of telling myself that the arrival of fall is close at hand. Not only is fall my favorite time of year (sweaters, Halloweentown, Dead Man's Bones, etc), it has this magical tendency to turn me into a productive, creative monster. Maybe I associate the month of September with school, and getting back into a regular routine of homework, projects and getting one year closer to "finding" my teenage self, that my brain is wired to think about getting work done, creating new projects and getting one step closer to where I, a fresh faced young adult, fits in all of this. Then again, it's just as easy for me to associate school with doing no work at all. So in conclusion, fall is just a really great time for me, so prepare for a regular routine of blog posts YAY YouTube videos YAY and the release of my EP YAYAYAY!!

Anyways I've really been diggin' the super natural makeup summer look (that was a sentence??) I just love looking FRESH. And fly. Always fly. Today was yet another crazy hot day to add to the heat wave this week! And what's a better way to spend a summer day than drinking Slurpees and looking like a five year old? Am I surprised? No. Am I hot? Yes. In all ways. My slushie brings all the pedophiles to the yard and they're like, "Haley, that's not a funny joke." Okay sorry. It seems the hotter it gets, the younger I look. So I dragged my two friends to the park to take some OOTD photos for me and they showed up looking extra adorable so I just had to take photos of them, obviously.

met gala 2013
The highly anticipated (at least for me!!!) annual Met Gala/Ball was held last night and I'm basically crying tears of joy at this year's outfits. For those of you who aren't familiar, the Met Gala or Met Ball is an annual red carpet event held in celebration of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. Think of any A list celebrity you know, wrap them in tin foil or feathers (in your mind, CREEPS) or any other crazy fabric and you have got yourself a typical night at the Met Gala. It's the "night of night's", and the only time where you'd have a hard time spotting Lady Gaga right off the bat. To quote Grace Helbig's recent Twitter update (woah, do I spot a fangirl??), "The MET Gala is to actresses what Instagram is to 14 year olds. EVERYONE IS AN ARTIST." This year's theme is like grungy punk, so you know I was all up in that. And while some nailed the theme to a T others showed up looking just as awesome. I'm going to attempt to narrow it down to just a few favorites of the night, but that probably won't happen.

new video: april favorites!
APRIL'S DONE GET OVER IT. If you haven't seen my favorites video, then you should probably see my favorites video. How else are you supposed to know what you like without me telling you what I like first? Seriously. Also exciting things happened after I uploaded this here video. Let me tell you these things:
- Meghan Rosette from YOUTUBE!! (click me for her channel) commented on it! It was an exciting moment in my life. Almost up there with when Justin Nozuka touched my butt. BUT THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY.
- Due to the fact Meghan commented, I literally gained 350+ subscribers in two days! THAT SOME ILLUMINATI SHIT.
It's stuff like that, that makes you realize how much of an impact people can have. CRAZYNESS. Like my uncle once said, "with great power, comes great responsibility." Or, someone's uncle said it. I can't remember.
