It's 10 minutes to 6PM and I'll I've eaten today is a small bowl of pea soup for breakfast. Forgive me for my loopiness. I'm sorry but HOW can someone think of eating on such a DAY AS TODAY. I felt like I had to do soOoOo many things today and guess what I DID. I took closeup pictures of my face, filmed a video, and walked downtown; only to then buy a few records to add to my slowly building collection. The albums I chose purely reflected how I feel this season. Did I ever mention that autumn is my favorite time of year? I didn't? Weird. I also bought two others that I can't reveal to the world yet because one of them is a gift I just haven't figured out which one yet. Currently, Carole King's "So Far Away" is playing in the background and I feel so GOD DAMN CONTENT. It's days like today that I long to live in a tiny cabin in the woods in a small town in the 60's. In in in in in in. I long for complete isolation. Why is that? Is this my empty stomach talking? Holy shit every single song on this album is down right AMAZING. Any record collectors out there, or even if you own a record player and only play the newest hits, PLEASE go out and purchase Tapestry. It's the number one record I've always wanted to own since receiving my record player (among the list includes: Rumors by Fleetwood Mac, Coming From Reality by Rodriguez, Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell...the list goes on). ANYWAYS. I'm rambling. I'M A RAMBLING FOOOOOLLL. Buy my EP.

my favorite flannel

What was that? Even though it's officially September it's still 30 degrees out? WHO GIVES A SHIT I'M WEARING PANTS AND A CARDIGAN. HAPPY FALL (even though it's summer for another 20 days) and HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL! If you're like me and can't wait to hop off the shorts train and head into sweater town, here's a playlist I created inspired by one equally as radical that I heard in a thrift store recently. Whether you're searching for that perfect flannel, or diggin' for comfy band tee's, this eclectic mix from the past is the playlist to listen to when you're on a thrifting adventure.

what's the deal?

"What's the deal?" One ponders about life.
"What's the deal?" Some might think, annoyed, as the summer sweats off its last few days of freedom.
"What's the deal?" 41 of you may ask; huddled over your keyboard hour after hour, patiently waiting for the arrival of my long over-due blog post (not really).
"What's the deal?" A nation wonders re: Miley Cyrus' recent performance at the VMA's.
"What's the deal?" I say out loud without realizing it and then it's kind of awkward.

This a very good question, what IS the deal? In my opinion, summer ended far too fast, but fall couldn't come any sooner, and thus is the reason for this random blog post. Recently, I got this warm, familiar, tingly sensation. At first I was scared it was some sort of infection or something, but then I realized it was just my self's way of telling myself that the arrival of fall is close at hand. Not only is fall my favorite time of year (sweaters, Halloweentown, Dead Man's Bones, etc), it has this magical tendency to turn me into a productive, creative monster. Maybe I associate the month of September with school, and getting back into a regular routine of homework, projects and getting one year closer to "finding" my teenage self, that my brain is wired to think about getting work done, creating new projects and getting one step closer to where I, a fresh faced young adult, fits in all of this. Then again, it's just as easy for me to associate school with doing no work at all. So in conclusion, fall is just a really great time for me, so prepare for a regular routine of blog posts YAY YouTube videos YAY and the release of my EP YAYAYAY!!

hometown hero

If we aren't already Facebook friends, and I haven't already spammed you with my most recent photoshoot featuring the wondrous Kiki Babbel, then you're in luck! If you want to call it that. For this shoot I converted my brother's old room (sort, Matt, but you don't even go here) into the room of my dreams, inspired by a mix between the Virgin Suicides and Romeo & Juliet (the Leonardo DiCaprio version, obviously). Since there are way too many photos to include on a single blog post without giving someone an aneurysm, I'm just posting my favorite shots! And you can see the rest HEREEEEE!! Unless you have better things to do. Which is highly plausible. Throughout the duration of this whimsical photoshoot, we listened Andy Shauf's new album, "The Bearer of Bad News" about 4 times over. If you haven't had the chance to listen to it yet, please do yourself this favor and do so. You don't have better things to do this time.
